Richard D. Bavec has spent over 40 years in the Real Estate industry -- as a Realtor®, Broker, New Home Builder, Community Developer, and more -- and has helped over 1,200 families navigate the market with ease. His knowledge and expertise about all things real estate and home-building, coupled with a focus on integrity and transparent business practices, makes Richard D. Bavec an extraordinarily unique Real Estate Broker. He holds these values near to him whether working with small families, large investment companies, or on-boarding new Realtors®.
Richard D. Bavec obtained his Realtor® license in 1976 and made his first sale that same year - a single condo in Fort Myers, FL. As a love for the market and helping others navigate it took hold, Richard focused his efforts on servicing clients with a personalized approach while continuing to build his experience and relationships in the industry. As a young Realtor®, Richard kept himself involved with development companies in Florida including NTS & Arvida/St. Joe, through projects including River Hills (Tampa), Heathrow, Alaqua, Lake Forest, Victoria Park, Red Tail and more, in order to further hone his skills and processes beyond those of a typical Realtor®. It had always been a dream of Richard's to lead a team of professionals in Real Estate that shared his core values -- integrity, transparency, and quality of service -- and in 2004 Richard D. Bavec founded Tolaris Realty. Even after several offers and invitations to sell the brokerage or join national franchises, Richard has stayed true to putting people first and maintaining one of the finest independent, family owned, boutique brokerages in the state of Florida.
Richard D. Bavec is a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI) and has completed all required courses for Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He is also a Certified General Contractor and a FL 2/20 Insurance License Holder. Richard is a Gold Key Broker and a past member of the "Top 100 Realtors in Orlando". He also served as Chairman of Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association (ORRA) Grievance Committee 2012-2016 and was a Member of the (ORRA) Standards and Practice Committee from 2016-2018. Richard is a Past President of the Private Business Association of Seminole County (PBAS) and also served as a Board Member of Seminole County Chamber of Commerce.
